JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Work will soon begin on drainage improvements along Eubanks Creek in Jackson, according to city officials.
Crews will clear debris, spray and perform maintenance to reduce flooding and improve flow. The work will take place along North West Street and Northside Drive.
According to the City of Jackson, the work was tentatively scheduled by the Capitol Complex Improvement District (CCID) for late August 2025. The city will assist the CCID by providing access to Eubanks Creek across properties that it owns adjacent to the creek.
The general contractor for the project is Alliant Construction. During this period, work will be performed between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and occasional noise disturbances should be expected.
Completion of the project is estimated to occur on or about October 24, 2025.
