JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Two men were injured during separate shootings in Jackson.

The first shooting occurred in the 4300 block of Dixie Drive around 7:00 p.m. on September 4, 2025.

Interim Jackson Police Chief and Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said the victim was in serious/critical condition.

The second shooting occurred at the victim’s home in the 5300 block of North State Street. Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said the victim heard several shots and realized he had been injured.
