Alabama man arrested for Mississippi bank robbery

D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WJTV) – An Alabama man was arrested in connection to a bank robbery that occurred on the Mississippi Coast.

D’Iberville police said the robbery occurred at the Hancock Whitney Bank on D’Iberville Boulevard around 3:00 p.m. on September 3, 2025.

According to police, the suspect initially entered the bank and requested to use the restroom. He exited the bank and returned several minutes later. Police said the suspect then handed the teller a note that demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, he left the scene.

An arrest warrant was later issued for Lane Wesley Blatchford, 30, of Prattville, Alabama. He was located by the U.S. Marshals Service on Central Avenue in D’Iberville and arrested.

Blatchford was charged with robbery and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. He is being held on a $250,000 bond.
