PURVIS, Miss. (WHLT) – A Pine Belt family is searching for answers eight years after their son, Tim Boshart, disappeared.

Boshart was last seen on September 3, 2017, in Purvis. He was 33 at the time of his disappearance.

According to his family, Boshart had recently checked into a treatment facility in Laurel after becoming addicted to prescription painkillers following a surgery.

On the day he disappeared, Boshart attended church before being picked up and taken to a known drug dealer’s home on Zeb Circle in Purvis. He was then taken to another home on Lewallen Drive and hasn’t been seen since.

Despite multiple search efforts, Boshart has not been found. His mother believes he is dead and said she wants to know where his body is.

“There is a way of thinking out there by people that, because a person has struggled with addiction, they may think they’re not as good a person as other people. That should not be the case for people to think that way. Everybody has people in their family, and if you don’t, you’d better be thanking the good Lord, who has struggled with addiction. And I never knew how many people there were out there until I went through it with my own son. You know, so there is a lot of people who struggle with addiction,” said Robbie Fairley, Boshart’s mother.

The Lamar County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Boshart’s disappearance. If you have any information about what may have happened, you’re asked to contact Investigator Lance Emfinger at 601-794-1005.
