JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – Jones County deputies are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Monday morning.

The shooting occurred in the 500 block of Graves Road on September 8, 2025. Deputies said the victim, Donnie Bender, Jr., was transported to South Central Regional Medical Center (SCRMC) in Laurel where he was pronounced deceased. 

Deputies said Jonna Husband, 46, was charged with second-degree murder in connection to the case. Her bond was set at $250,000.
