MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was stabbed to death at a Walmart in Horn Lake, Mississippi, after a fight with an employee Sunday night, according to the Horn Lake Police Department.

Officers say they were called to Walmart on 4150 Goodman Road regarding a complaint of someone being cut inside the store.

When they arrived, they saw a 27-year-old man who was found suffering from a cut to his stomach on one of the main aisles inside the business.

He was then taken to Baptist DeSoto Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead due to his injuries.

Police have identified him as Ledarius Clayton.

During the investigation, officers say surveillance video showed Clayton entering Walmart, walking directly down one of the main aisles until he saw a certain Walmart employee, and immediately started a physical altercation with him.

While they were fighting, Clayton was cut in the stomach and fell, police say.

That is when the employee distanced himself. Officers say the employee was later detained on the scene, but no charges have been filed against him at this time.

Police say this is an isolated incident and no other Walmart employees were believed to be in any danger.

This is still an ongoing investigation.
