JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating two fatal crashes.

The first incident occurred on Interstate 55 South near Briarwood Drive just before 11:15 p.m. on September 18, 2025. According to police, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at the location and transported to a local hospital. He died from his injuries.

The second crash occurred on Interstate 220 North near Clinton Boulevard just after 11:30 p.m. on September 18, 2025. Police said the crash involved a dump truck and a SUV. They said the driver of the SUV died at the scene.
