HORN LAKE, Miss. — A Horn Lake man is being held in the DeSoto County Jail on a $1 million bond, a month after his wife was found dead inside their home on Grove Lane.

Eric Andre Brown was charged with murder after Horn Lake police conducted a welfare check at the residence on August 29 and found Deborah Brown’s body.

Police are not saying how she died.

“Due to this case still being an active investigation, I am unable to release any further details regarding the potential cause of death. We do not yet have a finalized autopsy report from the State,” said Captain Joseph R. Keene.

People who live on Grove Lane said investigators returned to the house on Wednesday, taking additional pictures.

Neighbors said the Brown’s had lived at the home since 2006, and they never saw any problems between the couple. They were shocked by what happened.

A Celebration of Life was held for Deborah over the weekend in Whitehaven. A Gofundme was set up to help her family with funeral expenses.
