JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – Two women were killed and one man was injured during a shooting in Jefferson Davis County.

The shooting occurred on Clem Road just before 4:00 p.m. on October 2, 2025.

According to Deputy Chief Frank Riley, investigators believe a fight between the two women and another person led to the shooting. He said a vehicle drove up to the scene, and a shooter fired at the victims’ vehicle.

The injured man was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson for treatment. The two women who died have not been identified.

Riley said the suspect fled from the scene, but authorities have identified him. They hope to make an arrest soon.
