ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Adams County authorities announced the man who was wanted for a fatal shooting in Franklin County is in custody.

Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said Roeland Williams, 24, turned himself in to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Franklin County Sheriff Tom Tindle, the shooting occurred on Mildred Davis Road around 1:30 a.m. on October 4, 2025. He said John Starks III, 26, was killed and another person was left critically injured. A third victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
