JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – From homecoming celebrations to the Mississippi State Fair, Jackson has a lot of activities going on this weekend.

Officials with Visit Jackson encouraged residents to go out and take advantage of all the festivities, which also includes Tougaloo’s Founders’ Week and Jackson State’s homecoming.

“You know, just have a good weekend and take advantage of the things that are here for your taking. Of course, we have wonderful restaurants, and I know that our hotels are full, but there’s so much. And so, we just invite people to come and just have a great stay here in the City of Jackson,” said Yolanda Clay-Moore, director of External Affairs with Visit Jackson.

Hotels near Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium reported full bookings, with guests arrived from across the region to celebrate and reconnect.
