NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – Natchez police announced a man, who was airlifted to a hospital after being injured in a shooting, has died.

The Natchez Democrat reported the shooting occurred in the Cambridge Heights subdivision on October 8, 2025.

According to police, Kordell Summers, 27, was airlifted to an area trauma hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He died from his injuries.

Police said no arrests have been made, and they believe Summers was targeted.
