JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – At least four cars were damaged during a fire near Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson.
The incident occurred at the old Farmers Market on Woodrow Wilson Avenue just before 6:15 p.m. on October 11, 2025. The fire happened the day of Jackson State University’s homecoming game.

Division Fire Chief Charles Felton said when units arrived, they were told the fire originated at one vehicle and spread to the others.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
