JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are searching for suspects after one person was killed during a shooting.

The shooting occurred in the 900 block of Cooper Road on October 19, 2025.

Interim Jackson Police Chief and Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said the suspects fled the scene, possibly in a white Honda sedan. The male victim was identified as Melvin Bass, 22, of Jackson.
