Man arrested in connection to fatal Copiah County shooting

COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Copiah County deputies announced Artivious Hilliard was taken into custody.

COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Copiah County deputies are searching for a man in connection to a recent homicide.

Investigators said Artivious Hilliard is wanted in connection to the death of Decedric Stampley, 20.

Deputies said they responded to the Copiah County Medical Center just after 11:00 p.m. on October 13, 2025. Stampley had been brought in with a gunshot wound, and he died from his injuries.
