LORMAN, Miss. (WJTV) – Alcorn State University implemented a lockdown Thursday morning due to a threat to campus safety. According to the university, students were asked to shelter in place on January 22, 2026. Only essential employees were told to report to work. The university will have a late start on Thursday, beginning at noon.
