JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Ice has kept two truck drivers busy in the Jackson metro area. Cars have been abandoned along roads or in ditches due to the winter weather.
The owner of Towmater’s Towing and Recovery, Joseph Bain, said he had trouble stopping his tow truck while out on the road on Tuesday, January 16.
“I keep having trouble getting my record to stop on some of the calls. It was iced over so bad and had slide down the road a little bit before I could get it to stop, and then to have to go back and get the other cars out the ditches,” Bain said.
“It was added danger because of the fact that you have a number of potholes throughout the city, talking about black ice. Potholes, even harder to see,” said Sydney Gladney, who lives in Jackson.
