JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – After a series of pipe leaks across the City of Jackson, many businesses and residents are experiencing little to no water pressure.
On Thursday, residents called this new situation ridiculous. JXN Water officials said 12,000 customers have been placed under a boil water notice due to the issue.
Some residents said they’ve been without water for two days after the recent cold snap.
One gas station owner on McCluer Road said this isn’t their first rodeo.
“Everybody come here to get ice bags. We don’t have any ice. We don’t have ice in the coolers. Even the beer is not getting cold, and it’s cold weather. So, everybody likes to have coffee. There is no coffee because there’s no water in our store. So, it’s affecting our sales as well,” the owner said.
Residents hope the water will be restored before the weekend begins.
