JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A vehicle collided with a Jackson Public School District (JPS) school bus on Tuesday, January 23.

The crash happened on the Interstate 55 South ramp to Interstate 20 West.

According to JPS officials, the school bus was carrying students on a field trip when the bus was hit by another vehicle.

JPS Campus Enforcement and Transportation officials reported to the scene to assist. Officials said there are no reports of injuries to JPS students or the bus driver.

Students were picked up and taken back to their school for observation.
