JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A death investigation is underway after a 19-year-old was found deceased in Jackson.

Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade said the incident happened on Greenwood Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

According to the police chief, the 19-year-old was found inside a vehicle with a single gunshot wound to the head.

Police have not released any additional information.
