FLOWOOD, Miss. (WJTV) – A Flowood man has been convicted of domestic violence-aggravated assault.
On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, Jason Todd Mardis was sentenced to 20 years in prison with three years suspended. He was also sentenced to five years of probation.
Mardis was arrested on October 7, 2022, by Flowood police after brutally beating his wife.
He apologized in court on Tuesday.
“I went to be with my family. Nothing like this will ever happened again. I’ve made changes a lot. I never denied what I did. I owned it day one because I knew I did it, and I knew it was wrong. I think about it every night before I go to bed. I wish I had done things different,” Mardis said.
