JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A man was arrested in connection to a September 2023 homicide in Jackson.

Police said Alvino Francis was arrested by U.S. Marshals on Wednesday, January 31. He has been charged with murder.

The shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Lampton Avenue on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the four victims. One of the victims, 29-year-old Kedryn Wright, died at a local hospital.

The victims told police a man approached them and fired multiple shots. The suspect ran away from the scene.

Francis is being held at the Hinds County Detention Center.
