MADISON, Miss. (WJTV) – Madison police arrested a man who allegedly shoplifted $745 worth of merchandise from the Lowes store.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30. They said the suspect’s vehicle was reportedly involved in earlier shoplifting incidents in Flowood.
After an investigation, police determined $745 worth of stolen merchandise from the Madison Lowes was in the vehicle.
The suspect was identified as 37-year-old Colby Ashley. He was charged with one count of felony shoplifting (3rd offense).
Madison police said information was obtained from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office that Ashley may have been involved in auto burglary incidents in Warren County. Investigators said evidence was found in the suspect’s vehicle that was involved in the auto burglaries.

After his initial appearance in Madison Municipal Court on Thursday, February 1, Ashley was released to the custody of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
