JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Silver Alert issued for Melvin Simpson has been canceled. He has been located and is safe, according to MBI.

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Silver Alert has been issued for a 64-year-old Jackson man.

Officials with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) said Melvin Simpson was last seen on Wednesday, February 14 just before 1:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Springfield Circle.

According to MBI, Simpson was driving a burgundy 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage bearing the Mississippi tag 887-DAV. He was wearing black and red joggers with a grey hoodie.

Family members said Simpson suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment.
