Human remains found near Camp Shelby in 2022 identified

FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – Forrest County deputies said the skeletal remains that were located in a wooded area near Camp Shelby in 2022 have been identified.

According to investigators, the remains were identified as Kimberly Ann Hall.

Hall’s remains were found on October 20, 2022. They were sent to the Mississippi State Crime Laboratory for further examination and analysis.

A DNA genetic profile was able to be extracted from the remains, and this DNA profile was sent to Othram Labs for a potential genetic match.

Forrest County deputies said the incident remains under investigation and further information will be released as it becomes available.
