COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A log truck overturned on Highway 27 in Copiah County.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said the crash happened on Highway 27 South near Brushy Creek Road on Monday, February 19 just after 2:15 p.m.

The driver of the log truck, 48-oyear-old Stanton Hux, of Brookhaven, was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson with unknown injuries.

Both lanes were closed at the location. Drivers are being asked to use an alternate route while crews work to clear the roadway.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
