JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – Jones County deputies said they responded to a massive crash on Highway 84 Wednesday morning.
The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. on Highway 84 West near Barney Drive. Officials said at least 20 vehicles were involved in the crash during the extreme fog.
According to authorities, 10 people were transported to South Central Regional Medical Center (SCRMC) in Laurel for treatment. Nine other patients were triaged, but they declined transported by an ambulance.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they helped remove an individual from an overturned log truck.
The crash affected both eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 84.
