JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are searching for three suspects after a man was shot in the leg.

The shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. on the 2800 block of Brookwood Drive on Wednesday, February 28.

Detective Tommie Brown said 22-year-old Vasquez Maynor was shot in the left leg. Three suspects held five others within a home at gunpoint during the incident.

According to Brown, the suspects fled the scene in a red-colored vehicle. The suspects are considered to be armed and dangerous.
