Flowood Nature Park trails to close for tree removal

FLOWOOD, Miss. (WJTV) – Flowood officials said many pine trees in the Flowood Nature Park need to be removed for safety reasons.

According to officials, there’s a pine beetle infestation. Crews will work to remove the trees from March 6 through March 8, 2024.

The trails beyond the lake and towards the back of the Nature Park will be closed. The trails towards the front of the Nature Park and the pavilion will remain open.
