Hinds County announces precinct changes for March 12 primary

HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Hinds County officials announced precinct changes for Mississippi’s Presidential Primary on Tuesday, March 12.

District 1:

  • Precinct 46 has not changed locations. However, the name has changed. Formerly Christ United Methodist Church. It is now called Christ United Jackson.

District 2:

  • Raymond 1 formerly Raymond United Methodist Church at 230 Main Street in Raymond. It is now Belmont M.B. Church, located at 14011 Mississippi Highway 18 in Raymond.

District 3:

  • Precinct 59 was formerly Word of Christ International at 3051 JR Lynch Street in Jackson. It is now Black’s Chapel M.B. Church, located at 3425 Robinson Street in Jackson.

District 4:

  • Byram 3 was formerly Trinity Wesleyan Church on Siwell Road in Byram. It is now Lakeshore, located at 6880 S. Siwell Road in Byram.
  • Raymond 1 was formerly Raymond United Methodist Church at 230 Main Street in Raymond. It is now Belmont M.B. Church, located at 14011 Mississippi Highway 18 in Raymond.
  • Raymond 2 was formerly Hinds Community College Meat House at 608 Hinds Boulevard. It is now Belmont M.B. Church, located at 14011 Mississippi Highway 18 in Raymond.
    • Voting will take place in the church gymnasium – Raymond 1 and Raymond 2 precincts will enter through separate doors. Officials said signage will be visible, and staff will be on site to direct voters.
