Hinds County Election Commission officials and the respective parties are preparing to serve all 108 precincts in he county.

“A lot of the equipment that you see here. There’s obviously the bags that contain various forms, instructions, manuals, ballots. But there are also a lot of electronic equipment that goes out to the polling sites. These are the electronic pole books and corresponding printers that go out, so that when someone arrives at a polling location to vote, and they show their ID and give their name, the poll workers can can make sure can look them up in the electronic poll book and make sure that they are, in fact, registered to vote in that polling precinct,” explained Spencer Ritchie, chairman of the Hinds County Republican Executive Committee.

Along with preparing voting materials, the chairman said Hinds County appears to be prepared to avoid any ballot shortage this year. He said the county has been recruiting and training poll workers for weeks for the primary.
