JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Take some time to unwind with friends, family or yourself this weekend. Below you’ll find a list of some fun events going on this weekend (March 15-17) around Mississippi.

Central Mississippi:

Fleet Feet Coffee Run – Ridgeland – Friday

  • The group usually makes a large loop around the area. After the run, the first round of coffee is free on Fleet Feet!

Classic ‘Sip Fest Stroll Over the Mississippi River – Vicksburg – Friday

  • The free event is from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Old Mississippi River Bridge.

Classic ‘Sip Fest Sock Hop – Vicksburg – Friday

  • The event will be at 7:00 p.m. at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center.

Parents Night Out – Pearl – Friday

  • Parents, your chance to have a quiet dinner and grownup talk is on the way, courtesy of the City of Pearl’s Parks and Rec Department.

Week of Wonder – Jackson – Friday, Saturday & Sunday

  • The LeFleur Museum District’s four museums are offering special Spring Break events, exhibits, and discounts.

Spring Pilgrimage – Natchez – Friday, Saturday & Sunday

  • The Historic Homes of Natchez will host tours until April 28, 2024.

Attack of the Bloodsuckers – Jackson – Friday, Saturday & Sunday

  • Through 13 icky exhibits, guests learn the what, why, who, and when of how parasites live, work, and play an important part in our ecosystems.

Oman: Land, Sea and Spirit – Jackson – Friday, Saturday & Sunday

  • Join the International Museum of Muslim Cultures for an explorer’s delight as they transport you to the beautiful lands of the Sultanate of Oman.

Flags from Mississippi – Jackson – Friday, Saturday & Sunday

  • The exhibit features 20 flags made from a variety of fabrics, such as wool and silk. Some were sewn by hand. Highlights include an original Magnolia flag, adopted in 1861 as the first official flag of Mississippi, that has been saved by conservators after it became severely fragmented.

Gold in the Hills – Vicksburg – Friday, Saturday & Sunday

  • The show is set in the 1890s and features a relentless hero, a winsome heroine, a ruthless villain, and the wilder side of city life in the New York Bowery.

Youth Talent Show – Jackson – Saturday

  • The Jackson Police Department will host the Youth Talent Show from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Jackson Convention Complex.

Run the Rainbow for Children’s – Jackson – Saturday

  • Run the Rainbow will feature a 5K route beginning and ending at Hal & Mal’s in downtown Jackson, and the 2024 event will also offer 10K, half marathon, and full marathon routes through downtown Jackson, Belhaven, Eastover, and the University of Mississippi Medical Center campus.

Brandon St Paddy’s Kids’ Parade – Brandon – Saturday

  • This will be a family friendly event, and full of fun. Festivities should begin at 8:30am CT, with drinks, face painting, a DJ & music, some jump houses, and lots of St Patrick’s Day themed trinkets and decorations.

Krewe of Killarney St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Natchez – Saturday

  • Rain or shine: The parade will be from Main Street to the Natchez Bandstand on Broadway Street.

Family Fun Night at Hal & Mal’s – Jackson – Saturday

  • There will be live music, kids karaoke and a kids buffet.

Moto Extreme Circus – Jackson – Saturday

  • Get ready for a high-energy adrenaline rushing show. It combines action sports with the most spectacular circus thrill acts.

Show Me Reptile & Exotics Show – Jackson – Saturday

  • This event is your passport to a reptilian wonderland where you can not only admire these remarkable animals but also take home a scaly friend of your very own!

Classic ‘Sip Fest Wheels Show – Vicksburg – Saturday

  • The event will be from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Washington Street Park.

Classic ‘Sip Fest Coca-Cola Party – Vicksburg – Saturday

  • The event is at 4:30 p.m. at Duff Green Mansion.

Classic ‘Sip Fest Movie on the Lawn – Vicksburg – Saturday

  • The event will be held at 6:00 p.m. on the lawn at Levee Street Warehouse.

March Movie Night – Pearl – Saturday

  • Peter Rabbit will be shown at the Pearl Community Center at 6:00 p.m.

Wild Wonders: Painting Natural Mississippi – Cypress Hideaway – Jackson – Saturday

  • Dive into the world of art and nature at MDWFP’s Mississippi Museum of Natural Science in Jackson with this new series of painting classes for teens and adults led by local artist and Pacesetter Gallery owner Keri Davis.

Fertile Ground Beer Co. Spring Street Party – Jackson – Saturday

  • Grab some friends and kick off spring! Sal & Phil’s will be cooking crawfish and shrimp on side, and Humid Sub Tropic will be jamming on the patio.

Jason Daniels Band Tour Kickoff Party in the Alley – Jackson – Saturday

Considerable Obstinacy”: The Origins of the 11th Louisiana Infantry – Vicksburg – Saturday

  • Vicksburg National Military Park will host a special program “Considerable Obstinacy”: The Origins of the 11th Louisiana Infantry, African Descent presented by Isaiah Tadlock.

Mississippi Farmers Market – Jackson – Saturday

  • From persimmons to peaches, from bok choy to butter beans, the Mississippi Farmers Market is the one place to go for the freshest fruits and vegetables that are grown in the state.

Natchez Farmers Market – Natchez – Saturday
