MCCOMB, Miss. (WJTV) – McComb police arrested a 17-year-old in connection to a fatal shooting.
McComb Police Chief Juan Cloy said Brycen Brumfield was arrested with assistance from the Pike County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Cloy, Brumfield was spotted after officers received a tip about the type of vehicle he was in. He said Brumfield led officers on a chase into a wooded area before he was captured.
Brumfield was wanted for the fatal shooting happened on Monday, February 5 at 7:00p.m. in the 700 block of Avenue D.
According to Cloy, 20-year-old Andra Cotton and 18-year-old Brandon Celestine were both shot. Cotton was shot multiple times and died at the scene. Celestine was shot in the hand and later released from the hospital.
