CRYSTAL SPRINGS, Miss. (WJTV) – Crystal Springs police are searching for a 20-year-old man who allegedly tried to hit officers with his vehicle before fleeing.
The incident happened on Saturday, April 13 in the 500 block of West Railroad Avenue.
Police said they stopped a driver, Demarionta’ Wilson, of Crystal Springs, and an unidentified passenger for a traffic violation. Officers said they retrieved a controlled substance from Wilson before he decided to flee.
During the incident, they said Wilson attempted to strike officers with his vehicle. He allegedly struck the front of a patrol car and proceeded down West Railroad Avenue.
Officers said they chased Wilson before a crash happened at the intersection of West Railroad Avenue and North Pat Harrison Drive. They said one officer was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries and was later released.

Investigators said Wilson is wanted for two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and felony fleeing. Wilson is believed to be residing in Jackson.
