RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A man’s body has been recovered after a vehicle went into the Barnett Reservoir.
Reservoir Police Chief Trevell Dixon said the incident happened around 5:15 a.m. on Thursday, April 18.
Dixon said one person was taken to a local hospital. Authorities searched for a second person and recovered the body just before 7:45 a.m.

The victim was identified as David Curtis, 51, of Brandon.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
