JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Governor Tate Reeves (R-Miss.) declared May 19-25, 2024, as Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week in Mississippi.
According to officials, this year marks the 50th anniversary of National EMS Week.
As part of the week, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) and the Office of Emergency Medical Services are inviting the public to celebrate its 50th anniversary on Tuesday, May 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Mississippi Trade Mart in Jackson to learn all about EMS.
Organizers said the event will feature EMS vehicles, equipment, educational booths, vendors, and live safety demonstrations.
The Trade Mart is located at 1200 Mississippi Street in Jackson on the Mississippi Fairgrounds.
