NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – A Natchez man died during a two-vehicle crash.

The Natchez Democrat reported the crash happened around 10:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23 near LaFiesta Mexican Restaurant and Natchez Market.

Natchez police said a juvenile was driving a tan SUV and was turning from the westbound lane of John R. Junkin Drive into the parking lot when he was struck by a couple in a red SUV. The tan SUV overturned, and the juvenile was transported to a local hospital.

Police said the driver of the red SUV was also transported to the hospital. The passenger in the vehicle, Eugene Skipper, died in the crash. Investigators said it’s unknown if Skipper died from injuries received during the crash or from a heart attack.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
