MADISON, Miss. (WJTV) – The son of a former Mississippi governor has been arrested.
Madison police said Haley Reeves Barbour, Jr., 44, was arrested on Thursday, June 6 for trespassing. The incident happened at a home in a Madison neighborhood.
Barbour, Jr., is the son of former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, who served from 2004–2012.
On Thursday afternoon, Barbour, Jr., made his initial appearance in Madison Municipal Court, where his bond was set at $1,000. Afterwards, he was transported to the Madison County Detention Center.

This is not the first time the former governor’s son has been in trouble with the law. The Clarion Ledger reported Barbour, Jr., was previously convicted of simple assault involving a 2015 incident in Washington.
