JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A woman has died after experiencing a medical emergency while driving in Jackson, authorities said.

Detective Tommie Brown said the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 9.

Brown said the 35-year-old woman was driving north on Interstate 55 when she pulled over near the Kroger. She died due to a medical emergency. The woman has not been identified.

The incident is still under investigation.
