NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – The man accused of killing a 22-year-old in Natchez in 2020 was convicted of manslaughter.
The Natchez Democrat reported 28-year-old Reginal Butler was convicted on Wednesday, June 12. He was sentenced to 20 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
Butler was arrested for the December 17, 2020, shooting death of Braylon James. The shooting happened near Minor Street and Brenham Avenue in Natchez.
Prosecutors said Butler was out on bond on the murder charge in April 2022 when he was arrested by Adams County deputies in connection to two drive-by shootings.
