JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A resident in South Jackson urged the city to take action to help keep the city’s image clean.
Ernest Ward, president of the Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods, demanded city leaders to make sure ordinances are being enforced.
“Only thing we asking the city to do, do what they were hired to do, that is to enforce the city ordinance. If they would enforce the city ordinance, our city would be a better place,” Ward stated.
Ward hopes the city’s help can help maintain a positive image in South Jackson by enforcing ordinances that keep properties clean. Ward and other members hope the mayor’s office and other administrators can back up their talk with actions.
Ward said if he does not see action from the city, he plans to pursue legal action.
WJTV 12 News reached out to the city about Ward’s concerns, and we have not heard back.
