Where to celebrate the 4th of July in Mississippi in 2024

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Mississippians will celebrate the Fourth of July across the state this year, with fun events and fireworks.

Here are some of the events that you can check out in 2024!

Central Mississippi:

Mississippi Championship Hot Air Balloon Festival – Canton – June 27-29

  • The festival will feature hot air balloons, a fireworks extravaganza, and entertainment.

Celebrate America Balloon Glow – Ridgeland – June 28

  • Kick off Fourth of July weekend on the green space at Northpark mall and enjoy food vendors, fireworks, a kid’s corner, live music, and colorful hot air balloons lining the sunset sky.

Independence Celebration – The Reservoir – June 29

  • There will be a dual fireworks show and music at Old Trace Park in Ridgeland and Bobby Cleveland Park at Lakeshore on the Rankin County side! Each park will have kid zones, food trucks, and beverages.

Four Seasons of the Arts Patriotic Concert – Vicksburg – June 30

  • The Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation will host a free patriotic concert featuring The Vicksburg Orchestral Society and The Vicksburg Chamber Choir, with special guest conductor, Jace McMullin, EdD, Warren Central High School Head Band Director.

Jackson’s Fireworks Extravaganza – Jackson – July 3

  • Held at Smith Wills Stadium the event will feature a kids zone, food vendors, and live entertainment. The night will end with fireworks.

July 4th Red, White & Blue Fest – Clinton – July 4

  • Everyone is invited to participate in a fun-filled evening of games and musical entertainment. Headlining this year’s event is Karen Waldrup. The evening will be capped off by a grand finale fireworks show, and there will be plenty of food and beverage vendors present.

Mississippi Braves Fireworks Show – Pearl – July 4

  • The Mississippi Braves will face Biloxi at Trustmark Park in Pearl on Thursday, July 4. The Braves will host a fireworks show after the game. The game will start at 6:05 p.m.

Fourth of July Pool Party – Vicksburg – July 4

  • This event will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with live music at Mulberry Vicksburg.

Independence Day Fireworks Celebration – Vicksburg – July 4

  • This event will begin at 7:00 p.m. in Downtown Vicksburg. The fireworks celebration will follow live music by Dr. Zarr and the Amazing Funk Monsters. The fireworks will start around 9:00 p.m. 

4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza – Natchez – July 4

  • The fireworks will be over the Mississippi River at 9:30 p.m.

Live at Five on the Fourth – Natchez – July 4

  • For the 2nd year, Live at Five on the Fourth celebrates Independence Day bringing music and fun for the whole family.

Pine Belt:

Independence Day Fireworks – Laurel – July 3

  • The Sawmill Square Mall wills host the annual fireworks display.

2024 Star-Spangled Celebration on the River – Hattiesburg and Petal – July 4

  • The event will be held at Petal River Park and Hattiesburg’s Chain Park. With a blend of community spirit, entertainment, and culinary delights, the Star-Spangled Celebration promises an unforgettable experience for attendees and vendors alike.
