JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a man in connection to a fatal shooting on Primrose Street.

Detective Tommie Brown said the shooting happened on Tuesday, June 25 in the 1100 block of Primrose Street. The victim, Cortez Dunlap, died at the scene.

According to Brown, 34-year-old Xavier Wells was arrested and charged with murder, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.
