PERRY COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – A three-year-old has died after being found unresponsive inside a vehicle in Perry County.

Jonathan Nobles, with the Forrest County Coroner’s Office, said the boy was found deceased in the back seat of a family’s vehicle in Perry County on Tuesday, June 25.

According to Nobles, the doors and windows were closed on the vehicle. Officials are unsure how long the unidentified child was in the vehicle or how he got in.

Officials said an autopsy will be conducted to determine the child’s cause of death. An investigation is underway.

The Forrest County Coroner’s Office assisted in the case.
