CANTON, Miss. (WJTV) – The City of Canton hosted the 2024 Mississippi Championship Hot Air Balloon Festival.

Attendees were able to enjoy an array of hot air balloons and live entertainment during the event.

“If you look around, you see all these smiling faces adults, children, grandparents, everybody comes out just to sit and enjoy being a community,” said Joann Gordon, director of the Hot Air Balloon Championship Team.

“The crowd, the smiles we put on kids faces, great weather, great hospitality, just a great event,” said Frank Anger, a pilot.

“Well, we’re excited. We just want to get the kids go see the balloon, so they can just enjoy it. We’ve never seen it in person before. We’re so excited,” said Zamayah McGee, an attendee.

The festival ended with a fireworks extravaganza.
