VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – Two teenage girls were injured during a shooting in Warren County.

Vicksburg Daily News reported the shooting happened just before 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30 in the 100 block of Abraham Drive.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said the two 17-year-old victims were taken to Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg by a private vehicle. Investigators believe a fight led to the shooting.

According to Pace, one victim had a graze wound to the head, and the other was shot in the hip area.

The sheriff said a suspect has been taken into custody.
