Woman accused of shoplifting at Byram Walmart captured in McComb

BYRAM, Miss. (WJTV) – McComb police arrested the woman who was wanted for shoplifting at the Walmart in Byram.

Byram police said Deneshia Harvey was arrested on multiple warrants with the McComb Police Department. After her court appearance, Harvey will be extradited to Byram.

Police said Deneshia Harvey and Shanequia Harvey allegedly shoplifted nearly $2,000 worth of items from the Byram Walmart. Officers said they were notified by Walmart employees on Monday, July 1 of a vehicle leaving the store. They said the vehicle belonged to the suspects who had just shoplifted several items from the location.

According to investigators, officers spotted the suspects’ vehicle at a local fireworks stand. They arrested Shanequia Harvey at the location. Police said they recovered more than $1,900 worth of stolen merchandise from inside the vehicle. The items included lawn equipment, Nerf guns and clothes.

They said Deneshia Harvey fled once officers made contact with Shanequia Harvey.

Investigators said the duo are also responsible for several other shoplifting cases throughout the area. They also had prior outstanding felony warrants with the Byram Police Department for felony shoplifting.
