VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – Vicksburg police said a man has been detained after a woman was found deceased after a stabbing.

The incident occurred just before 4:15 a.m. on Friday, July 12 in the 800 block of Clark Street.

Vicksburg police said they found the female victim deceased inside the home. A man was detained for questioning. The man and the woman have not been identified.

Investigators said more information will be released when possible.
