One rescued from balcony during Jackson apartment fire

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – One person was rescued off of a balcony during an apartment fire in Jackson.

The fire happened Wednesday afternoon at Fondren Hill Apartments on Lakeland Drive in Jackson.

Assistant Fire Chief Patrick Armon said firefighters had to rescue a person who was trapped on the balcony of one of the apartment units. No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
