Brookhaven teen arrested for shooting two women

BROOKHAVEN, Miss. (WJTV) – Brookhaven police said a 16-year-old has been arrested for allegedly shooting two women.

Investigators said LaDamian Dewanqez White turned himself in to Brookhaven police around 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29. He has been charged with five counts of aggravated assault, one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle, one count of juvenile with a firearm, and one count of animal cruelty.


BROOKHAVEN, Miss. (WJTV) – Brookhaven police are searching for a 16-year-old who allegedly shot two women.

The shooting happened on Ozark Lane around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17.

Brookhaven Police Chief Kenneth Collins said when officers were at the scene of the shooting, dispatch received a call from King’s Daughters Medical Center (KDMC) about a gunshot victim, as well as a vehicle that had been damaged by gunfire.

Collins said two women were shot multiple times. One woman was treated at KDMC, and the other was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson. The victim at UMMC is in critical condition.

Police identified the suspect as 16-year-old LaDamian Dewanqez White, of Brookhaven. Collins said White is facing multiple felony charges in connection to the shooting. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
